Linne's is a family favorite! If they've got the cronut out, make sure you get one or two. They have more than just desserts though and it's a great stop for lunch! Staff is always polite and patient while we figure out what we want and the inside is homey and quiet. Street parking is only mildly inconvenient, but I promise it's worth it! Grab a bite to eat, a cup of coffee, and hang out for a while.

I saw the pastry sign out of the corner of my eye, and there was Linne's. They serve donuts and pastries in the morning and sandwiches for lunch. The shop is in an eclectic old building in downtown Shelbyville. The sign on the outside says "Linne's Pastries". Inside, there are cases filled with fresh donuts and pastries. The clerk said that the cake donuts were their specialty, so I grabbed one. There are quite a few tables to sit and enjoy your treat, but most people take them home (so no one sees them eat a whole box). I ate my donut, which was smaller than I'm used to, but none the less, delicious. There is free street parking out front.
